The “Love Is…” Benefit Auction will benefit all students at Gregory Heights Elementary School in Burien, Washington. This PTSA sponsored event is our biggest fundraiser of not only this school year but the next as well. Our goal is to raise over $75,000 to fund our academic enrichment activities, clubs and sports.
Washington State continues to cut the K-12 budget and this has left all our public schools severely short-funded. These cuts directly impact our children at Gregory Heights. Beginning this school year there is no funding at all for Libraries. This means books cannot be replaced and programs that inspire and enhance reading and literacy skills are harder to implement. Another area that has been slashed is all funds for field trips. Field trips are some of the most popular activities for the students for a reason—they give important hands-on, real world experiences. Your support means a library with new books, field trips, language, art, sports, music and science clubs; new computers; supplies for teachers and fun family events, just to name a few.
We invite you to support our goals in two ways. First, please consider generously donating one or more auction items or gift certificates/cards for our auction. We will enthusiastically promote your business on our website and in our Auction Catalog. Second, please join us on February 11th for our “Love is…” Benefit Auction. We would love to have you, your friends and family join in the fun!
We hope that you will donate an item or gift certificate/card for our Gala Dinner and Benefit Auction. Please take a moment to go online to http://ghptsa.ejoinme.org/giveGHlove andcomplete the form on our event website so we can start promoting your business right away.
On behalf of Gregory Heights Elementary School and the Gregory Heights PTSA, we thank you for your consideration and support. With your donation, we will continue to prepare our students to be outstanding individuals who will be happy, successful, contributing members of our community--today and beyond.
Love is…”an excellent education.”
